Meet Uhura (aka Greta), an adorable Dachshund/Chihuahua/Beagle mix puppy. She was born on the 4th of July and is a real sweetheart of a puppy. Uhura has more of a Dachshund build to her, as she has short legs and long body. Her mom, Toosday (also up for adoption) only weighs 15lbs but we think Uhura is going to be larger than she is as an adult. Uhura has extra soft brown hair and a couple darker brown circles on her back. Uhura loves to play and play, and her tail never stop wiggling. She's also very friendly and loving with her human friends - you get the best of both worlds with this sweetie! Adult dogs are heartworm tested and Frontline and Interceptor are given monthly while in the SPCA's care. Heartworm positive dogs are treated. Included in our fees are: All DHLPP shots (puppies are given a series of shots up to 16-20 weeks of age), a Bordetella Nasal unless the animal has the Bordetella injection (then it is two shots), a Rabies shot (puppies at 12 weeks), at least one fecal test to check for parasites, and two generalized wormings. Medicine is given when necessary.
